South Asia ACN: Prices continue to rise despite tight supply / Fewer Offers on the Market / Adjacent markets are firmer

Prices in South Asia's acrylonitrile markets reached a five-month peak in the week ended Dec. 10, as the discussion levels soared due to a tight supply and limited allocations in the region. ACN CFR South Asia is up $10/mt from the previous week to $1,275/mt December 10. South Asia was assessed last at $1.250/mt on July 16. According to sources, it is becoming increasingly difficult to secure cargoes due the shutdowns in nearby markets and limited supply. A trader reported that the Indian ACN market was tight, with most tradable prices hovering around $1,270-1280/mt CFR South Asia. ACN was offered at over $1,300/mt.
