The Indian acetic market was characterized by a lack of trade activity on Sept. 12, and the levels discussed remained mostly rangebound. CFR India acetic acid discussions were stable to slightly firmer with end-September-shipment/October shipment offers heard in the range of $415-$420/mt CFR India with LC 90 days. Some bulk buyers received offers at $400/mt. A bid of $405/mt for arrival cargo from Oct. 5-15 was heard with LC 90-days. End-consumers showed interest in buying cargo at $395/mt. A market source stated that the arrival of certain cargoes during H2 September would likely keep AA stocks healthy, while demand was mostly stable.
