Acetic Acid: India's domestic ex-tank acetic acids prices at Kandla and Mumbai port were Rupee 36.50 to 37.50/kg on August 14. An end-user stated that "demand is not supporting the prices" on August 14. Meanwhile, an importer said "traders have issues in liquidating acetic acids cargoes". A source says that due to the long weekend beginning August 17 and India's national holiday on August 15, trading could be slow until August 19. Acetic acid inventories were healthy due to consistent cargo arrivals in ports. Data from market sources indicated that 5,100 mt of acetic acid would be unloaded at Mumbai port during the week ending August 14, and another 11,250 mt in the next week.
