Prices for vinyl acetate and acetic acids in Asia were mixed on August 29. East China acetic prices fell due to a large inventory while Asian VAM was mostly stable amid thin trading. For cargo sizes between 2,000 mt and 5,000mt, acetic acids destined for India were offered for $350-$355/mt less than the previous week. Meanwhile, prompt-loading cargoes for India were offered for $360/mt. Market sources reported that the main discussion was centered around $350-$360/mt for FOB China. Market sources said that domestic AA prices were around Yuan 2,950-3100/mt, which is Yuan 150/mt less than the previous week. The Asian VAM saw a low level of trading activity on August 29.
