Asian acetic acids prices continue to rise on the back of tight supply. Asian vinyl acetate Monomer prices remain stable on the back of thin trading. Discussions for February-loading AA cargoes in the Chinese market were at $340 to 350/mt FOB China. Sources said that the discussion for domestic AA in east China was similar to the previous week at Yuan 2.730-2,800/mt. However, the majority of the transactions were at Yuan 2.750/mt. AA FOB China is up $5/mt from last week to $345/mt. CFR Southeast Asia was up $5/mt while CFR Far East Asia was $20/mt more expensive over the same time period, at $440/mt vs $445/mt respectively.
