Some sources believe that the prices have bottomed. Due to tight production margins, traders said Asian suppliers would not sell below the $390-$400/mt CIF levels. Loading discussions in November were sparse, with most offers being $390/mt for India LC 90-days. The level of buying interest was low, with prices hovering around $375/mt for CFR India. A market offer of $385/mt for CFR India was available until early this week. As India approached the Diwali holiday, some market participants stayed away, while the majority of demand came from those who needed it.
