Acetic acid: Indian prices of acetic acids remained low in the week ending Nov. 28, as a result of weaker fundamentals on international markets. Ex-tank domestic prices ranged from Rupees 35/kg to Rupees 34.75/kg in Kandla and Mumbai ports. Market sources reported that a balanced inventory of 20,000 to 25,000 mt in the Kandla Port kept ex-tank discussion at a standstill. A source reported that the demand from downstream ethyl anhydride and acetic acid sectors was consistently soft. December-loading bids were around $370/mt L/C India, with counter-bids/buying interests heard at $360-$365/mt levels CFR. Around 1,000 mt of December-arrival cargo were heard being traded at $370/mt L/C 90 day CFR India. Multiple market sources confirmed that discussions were centered around $370/mt for CFR India.
