Acetic Acid: The Indian acetic market was a quiet one in the week leading up to the 26th of September due to low buying interest. The price discussions were softer, with offers in the $400-$410/mt range CFR India for end-September and October loadings. Most buyers stayed away from $400/mt price offers. A weak end-user demand led to a lack of interest in buying around $380-385/mt. One end-user cited downstream pricing pressure as the reason for this. India's domestic ex-tank prices for AA showed some improvement during the week ending September 26. Prices were heard at Rupees 36/kg in Kandla, and Rupees 38/kg in Mumbai port.
