Acetic Acid: Prices in India rose to Rupees 36.50 - 37/kg for Kandla, and Rupees around 38/kg for Mumbai. GNFC, an Indian producer of acetic acids, raised the price of its basic acetic by Rupee 1/kg. The new price is Rupee 36.50/kg. Around 24, 471 mt of acetic acid were stocked in the Kandla Port. Market participants reported that January-loading was more difficult from China, and the selling indications for January-loading were higher than December. The spot trading increased in response to the increase in domestic ex tank prices during the week beginning December 15. Around 1,000 mt second-half-December-loading cargo has been traded at $380/mt CIF India. On December 19, around 1,500 mt cargo for January shipment was sold at $390/mt.
