Acetic Acid: Indian prices for acetic acids were firmer due to higher offers and domestic pricing. Ex-tank domestic prices at Kandla and Mumbai ports were higher at Rupees 36.25% and Rupees 36.25% respectively. In December and January, loading offers ranged between $375-$385/mt for CFR India with LCs 90 days. Counter buying interest was heard at $360-$370/mt. The CFR South Asia acetic acids price was up $2/mt from the previous week to $373/mt December 12. FOB China AA prices remained stable at $305/mt on Dec. 12, 2012. The Indian VAM market has remained quiet. India's domestic ex-tank price was heard to be firmer this week, at Rupees 70-70/kg. However, the fundamentals remained largely unchanged.
