Acetic acid in India was down $11/mt in the last week of March due to lower offers. This decline was attributed by the lack of interest in buying. The price for cargo loading in April was $365/mt CFR India. A similar laycan was receiving interest at $350-$355/mt. Market participants seemed to be cautious due to the low demand for AA, and high levels of inventory. The domestic ex-tank price was Rupees 35.25-36.25/kg in Kandla Port, down Rupees 1/kg from the previous week. The overall market fundamentals are weak. Demand is particularly low due to Holi, a regional holiday in India. Importer: "I expect March to be quiet with average demand."
