Asian ABS: Prices rise tracking overall upstream markets / Butadiene, ACN maintain high levels / Styrene rises further / Thin firm bids, offers as markets return

The Asian ABS CFR China marker at $1,420/mt on Feb. 5, up $10/mt from Jan. 28, above buying indications heard at $1,380/mt and below selling indications heard at $1,450/mt amid firming domestic prices. Upstream, the butadiene CFR China marker stable at $1,490/mt on Feb. 5 and the acrylonitrile CFR Far East Asia marker stable at $1,310/mt. Upstream CFR China styrene monomer marker was assessed at $1,074/mt, up $11/mt from Jan. 28. Buyers were still returning from the Lunar New Year break and were yet to make firm bids, trading sources said. The buy levels were around $1,380/mt and the sell levels were heard around $1,450/mt CFR China, a trader said.
