Asian acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene prices edged lower June19 with a weakening domestic China market. ABS CFR China and CFR Southeast Asiamarkers were $1,435/mt & $1,455/mt respectively, down $10/mt from the week of June 19. On the feedstock front input costs fell, due to a weaker market for styrenemonomer. Feedstock costs fell $45/mt, after increasing $32/mt the week before. Butadiene increased $50/mt from last week to $1500/mt CFR China on June 19. While acrylonitrile remained stable at $1280/mtFR Fareast Asia as of the latest assessment June 18. Styrene monomer dropped $45/mt, to $1138/mt CFR China on June 19. A polymer trader stated that "high container freights have effectively shut down sales of deepsea cargoes."
