prices fell $5/mt week onweek April 12 because of sluggish demand.In the
upstream market, styrene monomerat $1,100/mt CFR China, down $15/mt on the
week, and theacrylonitrile CFR Far East Asia marker $10/mt lower on the weekat
$1,430/mt.The butadiene CFR China assessment fell $10/mt on the weekto
$1,070/mt.Even though feedstock prices declined across the board,market sources
lamented about starkly slower ABS demand.Selling indications were heard in the
$1,380-$1,400/mt rangeduring the day, with some producers saying that the range
wasclose to a breakeven point. Trading
indications were in the $1,370-1,380/mt area. CFR China ABS
