Asian ABS: Prices stable amid unchanged market fundamentals / Feedstock costs fell $12.80/mt on week / China ABS operating rates fall

The Asian acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene CFR China marker stable week on week at $1,410/mt on Nov. 20. The CFR Southeast Asia marker was also assessed stable on the week at $1,425/mt, tracking the stability in the CFR China marker. Producers kept offer levels unchanged this week despite higher upstream benzene and SM prices as ABS demand remains weak. On the supply front, market sources shared that a major ABS plant in China with an annual capacity of 1,000 kt has decreased its operating rate from 90% to 70%, and the turnaround is expected to last for 20 days. However, this information has not been verified by the company.
