South Asia: ACN prices drop on weak demand for the third consecutive week / Discussion levels continue to fall in India: Sources / Prices fall in adjacent markets

The South Asia acrylonitrile markets weakened for a third consecutive week ending September 3, as persistently weak demand reduced discussion levels. ACN CFR South Asia dropped $10/mt in the past week, to $1160/mt by Sept. 3. The majority of sources reported that buying indications continue to decline in India, and material availability is moderate. Most sources said that sellers shared their selling ideas above $1,200/mt while buyers' indications ranged between $1,100 and $1,150/mt. One trader stated that the market continued to decline and demand didn't improve. Another trader noted that there were more inquiries for buying and lower inventories compared to the previous week.
