South Asia: ACN prices hit four-month high due to tight supply / Discussion levels are rising / Adjacent markets are firmer

The price of Acrylonitrile in South Asia rose to a four-month high during the week ending Nov. 26, as a tightening of supply on adjacent markets led to limited availability in India. ACN CFR South Asia is up $25/mt from the previous week to $1,260/mt, a four-month peak, compared to $1,240/mt July 23, a four-month low. ACN Chinese plants have continued to operate at low rates and with maintenance work. A major Taiwanese producer has decided not offer December cargoes. An Indian buyer stated that "there is no discussion about prices below $1,250/mt" and that suppliers are raising their prices because supply is tightening.
