India: PVC prices drop with new lower offers / The PVC demand is moderate or soft / Tradeable indicators match with offers

A major international supplier issued a lower-priced offer for February in response to the softening of the Indian polyvinyl chloride market during a week that ended on January 15. Sources reported a decline in the offer level from $780/mt, which was in line expectations for local market. A major trader stated that the $785/mt price was not generating any buyer interest. The new price of $760/mt offered by a supplier was expected. A trader said that a higher price didn't work on the market because demand is usually low in January, particularly in the north regions.
