In the week ending Oct. 8, there was little trade and no change in price discussions. Sources say the South Asia ACN is stable, but there is concern about changing trade flows and materials availability because of the Bureau of Indian Standards certifications that are expected to be implemented on October 24. India extended its deadline to implement mandatory BIS certifications to October 3 for ethylene vinyl-acetate copolymers and to Oct. 24, for acrylonitrile (vinylbenzene), styrene and maleic anhydride, on March 18. A source in the trade said that there were few inquiries and little trading for ACN during the week.
