The South Asia acrylonitrile markets declined for the second consecutive week ending Aug. 27 due to a slowdown in demand. ACN CFR South Asia mark down $20/mt from the previous week to $1,170/mt August 27, a 11-month low. The same marker was valued at $1.220/mt in September 2023. The majority of sources stated that the level of discussion in India continues to decline, but material availability is still adequate. One seller expressed a reduced selling idea, indicating a persistent softness on the South Asia market.
