Dec.-loading cargoes were in high demand on
the Asian methanol spot marketplace Nov. 16. Early Nov. 16, a bid of
$358-370/mt CFR unv1 was received for delivery to Kaohsiung Dec. 5--10. The bid
rose to $360-380/mt CFR unv1 in afternoon trading. But, no deal was made before the end of the day. A parcel of 5,000 mt was traded in China at $318/mt CFR
China. The parcel will load from the
Middle East in November, and arrive in China in December. According to some sources, the deal was completed in late
November. The Zhengzhou Commodity
Exchange's January methanol futures contract closed Yuan 16-30/mt lower than
the previous session, at Yuan 2,610/mt on November 16. CFR China rose $2-3/mt to $308/mt Nov. 16, According to plant...
