On May 11, trading activity increased on
the Asian naphtha markets. A buy tender was issued, and another at a similar
premium was concluded. The
market participants took a wait-and see stance due to macroeconomic
instabilities. Industry sources stated that downstream demand is dependent on China's
economic recovery. There is not much
improvement in the naphtha market, though it could improve marginally in July. A trader stated that the global economy will also affect
recovery progress. National Bureau of
Statistics data revealed May 11 that China's Consumer Price Index for April
increased 0.1% on an annual basis, the slowest increase in the country since
February 2021. YNCC of South Korea issued
a tender for 75,000...
