Asian paraxylene was $4/mt less on Dec. 7,
at $890/mt CFR unv1/China. The fall in Asian prices occurred due to GS Caltex's
offer for a February cargo, which was part of the Market on Close assessment

crude futures fell $3.33/b on Dec. 7, to $79.36/b. This was due to both Asian
PX and naphtha. Although intraday values
were significantly lower, the decline in PX prices was dampened by the support
provided by February cargoes bids during MOC. After a February trade between GS Caltex & China Base
Ningbo was completed at $891/mt at the end of MOC, GS Caltex bid on at $891/mt
