Xinjiang Zhongtai Chemical is likely to take off stream its Purified terephthalic acid (PTA) unit in Bayin. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is expected to halt operations at the unit for a maintenance turnaround in the second half of September 2025. However, the exact date and duration of the shutdown remain unclear, and confirmation from an official source has not been obtained.” Located at Bayin, China, the PTA unit has a production capacity of 1.2 million mt/year.
