Xinjiang Zhongtai resumes operations at PTA unit

Xinjiang Zhongtai Chemical has brought its Purified terephthalic acid (PTA) unit on stream. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is heard to have resumed operations at the unit around October 31, 2025. The unit was shut for maintenance around September 18, 2025.” Located in Bayin, China, the PTA unit has a production capacity of 1.2 million mt/year.
