Asian monoethylene glycol dropped $2-3/mt
on Dec. 14. Naphtha and upstream ethylene
traveled north Dec. 14. The CFR Northeast Asia Ethylene
price increased $5/mt on Dec. 14, to $895/mt. CFR Japan Naphtha prices rose
$1.125/mt, to $640.125/mt. As China is set to open additional
capacity in December, the Asian MEG market remains bearish. Yuan 20-30/mt
fell in China MEG prices. The Yuan 4,040/mt Dec. 14 price was also dropped. The current
ethylene price calculated that the Asian MEG production cost was $671.475/mt
Dec. 14. While the Asian MEG margin was $188.475-203.490/mt.
