The US July DDP-benzene price remained
steady at 605c/gal on June 30, but forward curve prices declined amid a weaker
downstream energy complex. WTI
crude futures dropped by $4.02-5.10/b, to settle at $105.76-120.25/b on June
30, down 3.66%. This resulted in a
benzene/crude ratio of 2.40. This is
higher than the historical average ratio of 2. It will be the annual average in
2021. RBOB gasoline futures dropped by
$17.72-24.50/gal to reach $3.64-5.20/gal on June 30. One source said that as RBOB gasoline futures fell octane
