- Weak downstream margins curtail imports discussions- Concerns about additional supply in Southeast Asia

The spot Asian propylene import prices
remained stable on July 5, despite unchanged market fundamentals, and a limited
buyer appetite for cargoes. As
China's demand has been low, downstream polypropylene margins are under pressure.
This has reduced the buying appetite for spot propylene. Market sources indicated that there were concerns about
additional supply after the restart of a Southeast Asian facility. On July 5, PP, a downstream raffia-grade PP was stable at
$1,050-1,090/mt CFR Far East Asia.
