Europe's linear low-density polyethylene market. However, buyers were cautious
due to weak demand. According to market
participants, the April ethylene industry-settled monthly contract price was
Eur230-240/mt at Eur1,665-1,685/mt on March 31. This is a record high for the agreement since
Commodity Insights started tracking it in 2006. Major consumer stated that he received notices from several
producers prior to the settlement that they wanted to raise April prices by
Eur200-Eur400/mt after triple-digit March increases. According to market sources, PE producers will pass on the
