On June 29, the Asian propylene market was
stable as buyers waited for clear market direction before making spot
purchases. August
ICE Brent crude oil futures rose $1.07-2.10/b to $117.66-135.25/b by 0830 GMT
Asian close, June 29, but this did not lift the propylene markets. A South Korean trader stated that propylene feedstock prices
were low because they are not being supplied. The price of propylene feedstock could fall in the short
term, but it will eventually bottom out. "Currently,
all downstream products are underperforming, including butanol/octanol which
