However, a source noticed some recovery in demand due to freight from Asia gradually returning to previous levels, causing customers who had been waiting on the sidelines to return to the market. Container Rate 29 — North Asia to West Coast South America — was assessed at $2,500/FEU June 25, down $900 week over week, as low activity levels prompted a bearish outlook for the route.
