AA: East China's domestic
prices fell to Yuan 550-580/mt, or $85-90/mt over the week. This was due to
China's quarantine and lockdowns that hampered trading activities downstream.
Meanwhile, the US' force majeure (a US producer of vinyl acetate monomer and
glacial acetic acids) had not yet been felt in Asia during the week ending
April 21. FOB China cargoes were available at $670-680/mt
on April 21 as opposed to $730-750/mt in the previous week. Sources said that discussions in India, China's largest
export market for AA, were muted on April 21 because acetic acid tanks were full
