Acetic Acid Producer, has kept its Yaraco acetic acids plant at 420,000 mt/year
closed since Dec. 15, for nine days of maintenance. The plant,
also known as Yangtze River Acetyls Co. Ltd., is located in Chongqing in
southwestern China. According to trading sources, the shutdown has
not had an impact on China's acetic acids market. The current supply shortage
is due to weak demand for downstream purified Terephthalic acid. Shanghai
Wujing Chemical, a Chinese acetic acid manufacturer, has a 500,000 mt/year No. A company
