Mixed outlook for Asian AA  Bearish VAM sentiment in Indonesia  



AA: In the week ending
March 31, the outlook for Asia's acetic acid market was mixed. Sources were
divided on the supply of export cargoes. Prices in
Jiangsu rose by Yuan 250-300/mt to $5,300-5,350/mt, or $730-750/mt based on
import parity. Market sources cited technical problems at two AA producers as
the reason for the tight domestic supply. However,
market sources indicated that domestic demand for AA in China was low as for
other petrochemical products such as mono ethylene glycol or polypropylene.
This is due to China's strict COVID-19 control measures which have impeded
trade and reduced demand. The price of
April-loading cargoes was higher during the week ending March 31, at
