rising: DR Horton US spot Export Polyvinyl Chloride Prices were down $20/mt
during the week of Nov. 9, based on confirmed deals at $640/mt FAS Houston,
amid softening global market demand. Export PVC was valued at $660-670/mt
FAS. Base range $640-$650/mt FAS. An additional $20/mt is added to account
for higher freight trucking costs and storage costs for packed material that is
awaiting export. The assessment does NOT include freight, insurance, or
margins. According to market sources, global PVC markets remain weak.
Prices are retreating as sellers vie for some of the remaining
demand. Sources from the US and Asia claimed that Asian producers were
reducing their capacity due to low pricing....
