The US spot export homopolymer
Polypropylene and copolymer PP homopolymers were unchanged for the day and week
Nov. 9 based on stable last-heard pricing indications and soft demand. Prices for export
homopolymer were set at $981-$1,003/mt FAS Houston, with stable rail car prices
at 39-40c/lb. The export co-polymer price
per pound (PP) was set at $1,047-1,069/mt Houston. This is a result of a 3-cent
premium to homopolymer railcar pricing. According
to a source, homopolymer railcar pricing was heard at 38 cents per lb. This
price was not practical in certain parts of South America. According to data from the US International Trade
Commission, US PP exports during the first three quarters 2022 were 4.5% less
