Activity in the agricultural pipe sector expected to increase in the early 2023Due
to steady demand, prices for recycled high-density plasticethylene natural
bales in the USA rose in week ending Dec. 21. Sources previously reported
a lower-than-usual supply for HDPE natural-color material post-consumer
HDPE. Natural bales may have a higher demand due to their ability to be
dyed any colour. Mixed-color material can only be black or gray, so it is
restricted to applications where color is not important. As agricultural
pipe activity increases, market participants anticipate that demand will rise
at the beginning 2023.US
