Expected increase in export prices for polypropylene following the PGP-
North American Production Rises Less Than 3% per Month: ACCThe
spot US export polypropylene prices increased $22 over the prior week levels on
Jan. 11. Market sentiment turned bullish due to increases in feedstock
pricing. Although price indications for rail cars were heard at 38
cents/lb over the Jan. 5--11 period, no market activity was detected above the
39 cents/lb mark. Homopolymer export price at $959-$981/mt FAS Houston or
38-39 Cents/lb railcar basis on Jan. 11. Prices dropped to $904/mt FAS
Houston on Dec. 14-Jan 9. Since December 2020, export prices have not
fallen below $900/mt. Spot January polymer-grade propylene was spot at
38.5c/lb FD USG Jan. 11. This price was flat for the day and 4cs higher...
