Sources said that the US homopolymer
injection grade polypropylene pricing remained stable on February 9, despite
speculations of tightening spot monomer feedstock prices throughout the week. Spot
homopolymer plastic propylene export prices were assessed at $1.664-$1,687/mt
(77.55-76.5 cents/lb). FAS Houston basis. Prices have not changed over the past
week. Based on the possibility of a 3-cent
premium over homopolymer grades, the co-polymer quality was also steady at
$1.731-$1,753/mt (77.5-79.9c/lb FAS Houston basis). Additional fees of 3.5 cents per lb for transport to ports
and packaging are included in the FAS assessments. Spot homopolymer grade was last discussed at the 72-cent
