US LLDPE : Butene export prices for week as hexene and
metallocene remain steady- CP Chem declares force majeure at Texas site due to
damaged PE unit: letter- US Data: LLDPE exports drop 7% month-on–month, but less
than 5% yearMetallocene-grade, linear low-density,
polyethylene and export hexene levels remained unchanged across grades Jan. 11,
as butene prices rose. Market sentiment is no longer bearish, despite the weak
demand as producers struggle with operations issues. LLDPE Butene was $44/mt
more on the week at 948/mt FAS Houston. This is a rebound from a nearly
two-year-low. From Dec. 14 to Jan. 9,
export prices remained steady at $904/mt. This was the lowest level since Dec.
