US LLDPE : Butene export prices remain firm- Hexene outage affecting supply- Q1 sees improvements in logisticsMetallocene, hexene and export butene
prices were within $22/mt range of previous-week levels February 8, with little
trading activity and supply considered tight. The week saw the prices of
metallocene, hexene and other chemicals remain unchanged. Butene prices increased $22/mt to $981-$1,003/mt FAS
Houston. This is 39-40 cents/lb rail cars. These are repeatable pricing
indications at this level. On February 8,
a rail car offer was made at 43 cents/lb. A
source stated that there is a lack of demand for rail cars at high prices. Another source said that a shortage of hexene producers was
