The European linear low-density polyethylene market was not open for trade in the week ending April 27,
as regional holidays continued disrupting trade. Buyers were happy to wait for
new May prices, with some expectation of price drops. LLDPE market activity was low as material continued to be
scarce due to logistical and production problems. The shortage of hexene in the production process of LLDPE C6
grade continued to impact production. Many producers are still having
difficulty accessing material. A converter
stated that one of our suppliers was on FM since October because of a shortage
of hexene. There are no signs of improvement. Although C4 grade material had a slightly better supply than
C6, C6 grade material...
