exports up $110/mt depuis January- Controlled operating rates to reduce excess inventorySpot export acrylonitrile levels rose on
the week ending February 7, as market feedback indicated that there was a quick
reaction to rising propylene contract prices. According to a source, the
price indication was above $1,400/mt in the week to February 7. This is due to
the rapid market reaction to January's higher propylene contract settlements. On February 7, the assessed price was $80/mt more than in
week-ago. Spot exports are up $110/mt
since Jan. 24, when they were at $1,300/mt. Data shows that this was a 25-month
low. According to the same source, margins
between propylenes and ACN have fallen to bottom-of-cycle lows as more product
is being introduced...
