The US spot spot export acrylonitrile price
held steady for the second consecutive week. This was despite last
heard indications exceeding $1,400-1,440/mt due to a lack in fresh market
activity and recent feedback suggesting that there is little liquidity. contracts remained stable week-on-week. This is
despite China's Zhejiang Petroleumchemical planning to reopen its 260,000
mt/year No. 2 acrylonitrile plants at Zhoushan, Zhejiang
province. This is after a February 15th closure due to a feedstock shortage.
A company source stated that the company currently has two ACN plants each with
a capacity 260,000 mt/year. The company originally intended to
