Upstream propylene CP settles upon the month  Plasticizer strengthens supplier pricing  



US oxo alcohols prices were
flat to higher week over week on March 31, as market participants talked about
export plasticizer supplier pricing increasing and upstream markets raised
pricing. Normal butanol export prices were flat at $2,315-2,345/mt
FOB USG. This was consistent with the CFR China assessment. Domestic NBA prices rose 10 cents to 148.5c/lb. The export 2-ethyl hexanol price was unchanged at $2.525/mt
FOB USG, following the same movement in Asia. Domestic prices at 125.5 cents/lb
were 10 cents higher at $125-135 cents/lb. Sources said domestic pricing settled 10 cents above
February's February chemical-grade propylene. This was consistent with market expectations for an increase
due to a firm energy complex, and an uptick in the spot propylene markets. Despite continued concerns about delivery...
