In Asia, the 2-EH market remained stable
through Dec. 8. Buyers waited for clearer direction before they took their
positions. In the week ending Dec. 8, the
2-ethylhexanol market price was at Yuan 9,200/mt in Shandong, and Yuan 9,500/mt
in east China. This is unchanged from the previous week. It amounts to
approximately $1,144-1,184/mt CFR China based on import parity. A 2-EH
producer from China stated that there are some restocking requirements as
end-users have very low inventories. He believes price will be supported. A second
