Asian toluene prices remained stable at
lower February 17 due to weaker crude prices. Offered at $878-896/mt
for any March loading of a 2,000-mt ASTM D-841 cargo. Letter of credit was
available at sight. The laycan was to specified the
seller. It was outside the assessment half-months H2 March and H1 April. Domestic
Chinese ex-tank supplies had higher prices. According to
industry sources, prompt and H2 February supplies were discussed at Yuan 7,230-7,310/mt. Stocks in
East China fell by 4,400mt to 76,600mt during the week ended February 17. South
China inventories increased 15,000mt to 17,000mt during the same period. This
reflected a slow buying trend and a sharp fall of crude futures, which
