The Asian propylene market was steady on
September 12th, as both Chinese buyers and Korean sellers were on vacation. At $92.32-98.25/b, 0830
GMT Sept. 12, the November ICE Brent crude oil futures contract rose $2.5-3.5/b
over its previous Asian close. A few
sellers were optimistic about a slight uptick in September-October with some
last-minute replenishment needs ahead of the weeklong National Day holiday in
early October. Unv1's LCY Chemical Corp.
ran its 250,000 mt/year Kaohsiung polypropylene production plant at 100% on
September 9, after it was restarted from planned maintenance that was delayed
for four days. After the line's shutdown
was delayed from Aug. 23 through Aug. 26, Unv1's LCY Chemical Corp. had to
