Asian
paraxylene continued to be bullish on the day at $1.249.33/mt-$1.260.44/mt CFR
Taiwan/China, and at $1229.33/mt-$1235.55/mt FBO Korea May 11, up 41.66$,
despite the fall in crude oil prices. Paraxylene's jump was more
dramatic than that of feedstock naphtha C+F Japan cargoes. This increased
spread by $36.535/mt- $40.540/mt to $331.705/mt- $335.710/mt on May 11 was an
increase in bullishness. The spread was
almost three years high. However, one Northeast Asian producer noted that it is
still more expensive to increase rates because of strong gasoline demand. This
