Prices rose in the Asian benzene markets
Dec. 5, despite general bearish sentiment. FOB Korea benzene physical increased $8/mt to $780/mt
December 5. The January/February
structural structure was at parity with a spread offer of plus $1-2/mt just
before the trade session ended. ICE Brent
crude oil futures were at $85.98-90.100/barrel 0830 GMT, slightly lower than
$86.53/b in the session before. Sources
indicated that spot cargo trade negotiations had been lacking. Although South China expressed interest, it was not confirmed. Market sources quoted levels at $25/mt for bids, compared
with offers at $30/mt. This premium is in contrast to the Mean of Korea benzene
